Yachting Malta: Round Malta Cruisers’ Rally [POSTPONED]

The Yachting Malta Round Malta Cruisers’ Rally is a coastal sailing event open to cruising boats. The event is intended to bring together cruising sailors for a multi-day circumnavigation of Malta, with organised stopovers and optional onshore activities. Plans may be adapted to prevailing sailing conditions as needed.
Participation Details:
- Entry Fee: €25 per boat
- Dates: Thursday 22nd May to Sunday 25th May 2025
- Note: The briefing night and final prize-giving are free of charge
- Meals ashore are optional and paid directly in cash to the hosting clubs

Programme Of Events
Thursday 22nd May - Briefing
- Time: 7:30PM
- Location: Vikings Sailing Club, Floriana
- Event briefing with general instructions
- Quiz night
- Finger food and drinks provided
Friday, 23 May – Rally Start and Sailing to Malta Young Sailors Club
Departure from respective berths at 5:00PM. Participants may join later in the evening if necessary.
- Destination: Malta Young Sailors Club, St Paul's Bay
- Boats to overnight on anchor in St. Paul's Bay
- Dinghy assistance will be available to go ashore
- BBQ organised by the Young Sailors Club (€15 per person, payable in cash on site). BBQ Commences at 20:00
- Participation in the BBQ is optional — crews may choose to dine on board
Saturday, 24 May – Paradise Bay and South Coast Sail to Birzebbuga Sailing Club
- Breakfast on board
- Morning sail to Paradise Bay for lunch at anchor. Lunch will not be provided and has to be taken care of by each respective crew.
- Afternoon sail along Malta’s west coast to Birżebbuġa Sailing Club
- Dinghy assistance will be provided
- Optional pasta night at the club (€10 per person, payable in cash on site)
- Participation in the meal is optional
- Night on anchor
Sunday, 25 May – Return and Closing Event
- Return sail to home berths during the day
- Prize giving and closing gathering at the Royal Malta Yacht Club (RMYC) at 7:00PM
- Wine and pizza served
- No charge applicable for this final event
Additional Information
- The rally is not competitive and aims to provide an organised sailing itinerary with optional social activities
- Meals onshore are not obligatory
- Participants are responsible for their own vessels and safety
- All timings and destinations are subject to adjustment depending on weather and sea conditions
