SAILING EVENT 1:2025 – GOZO EASTER WEEKEND

April 18 - April 20

Join fellow boating enthusiasts for an unforgettable weekend at the Gozo Marina. This annual tradition brings together the best of Malta's cruising community in a celebration of our shared passion of the sea. Spend time with passionate cruising enthusiasts capped off with a dinner at GIUSEPPE , Ghajnsielem Date: 18th April 2025, Good Friday, up to Easter Morning. Boat spaces are limited.

We have contacted the Mgarr Marina and they are offering €42 per night per boat for members of the Club for those two nights. We suggest you leave Malta on Friday around 9:00/10:00 am to be tied up at the Mgarr Marina around lunch time.

On Saturday evening we will organise a dinner for all members who wish to join us at Cafe' & Bistro Giuseppe in Ghajnsielem at 7:30 pm. Giuseppe is a 15 minute walk from Mgarr Marina (see map below) albeit uphill one way and, very conveniently, downhill on the way back. The price is Euro 30 per person and there is a choice of main course for the day (see menu below). All boats will leave the Mgarr Marina on Sunday 20th April by 11:00 am.  We have limited transport availability for those who may need assistance to get to the restaurant kindly advise when you book.

Should the weather be uncooperative for that week-end we have a Plan B. We will still hold the dinner at Cafe' & Bistro Giuseppe at Ghajnsielem as planned on Saturday 19th April but we will cross over to Gozo by ferry. Our suggestion is to leave your cars at Cirkewwa, take the 18:15 or 18:30 ferry (or earlier if you wish) and proceed to the restaurant on foot.

The menu for the night is shown below. The price per head is only €30 and includes wine and water on the table.

Final date for booking and payment is Monday April 14th 2025. Payment for berthing fees will be paid by each skipper directly to the Mgarr Marina upon arrival.

MAIN COURSE

Argentinian Grain-Fed Grilled Ribeye Steak (350g) Tender cut of beef cooked to your liking and served with mushrooms or pepper sauce.

Baked Chicken Parmigiana Breaded chicken fillets topped with classic tomato sauce and mozzarella, baked and garnished with rucola and parmesan shavings.

Or

Grilled Salmon fillet Served with a lemon and dill beurre

Or

Grilled Pork Chops Fresh local-cut, bone in chops, seasoned and served with a mushrooms sauce

Included flowing wine, still & sparkling water on the table
