A few years back we had a very interesting talk on how to manage your boat sails. This time, Committee member Patrick Genovese will revisit the subject of how to trim your sails. Patrick will help us understand how sails work and how to best adjust them for the prevailing conditions. For the experienced sailors, the presentation will serve as a reminder of what to look for in a properly trimmed sail and how the various control lines help us achieve proper trim. For the less experienced members, the presentation will be particularly interesting and informative.
